Equinor is advancing development of Bauge field with consent from the Petroleum Safety Authority Norway (PSA) to use new pipelines and subsea production infrastructure on the field in Block 6407/8 in the Norwegian Sea.

Bauge, in PL 348, lies in the Haltenbanken area in the southern Norwegian Sea, 15 km east of Njord field in water depth of 280 m. Discovered in 2013, Bauge resources are estimated at 73 MMboe. Equinor’s plan for development and operation (PDO) was approved in June 2017 (OGJ Online, June 20, 2017).

The field will be developed with two production wells tied-back to the Njord A floating steel platform. A water injection well will be drilled from the existing subsea template on Hyme field.
