Aker BP secures permit for North Sea drilling

Aker BP ASA has been granted a permit by the Norwegian Offshore Directorate to drill in the North Sea.

Exploration well 15/6-17 will be drilled in production license by the Scarbeo 8 semisubmersible drilling rig beginning in June.

Aker BP is operator of the license with 60% interest. Equinor Energy AS holds the remaining 40%.
