Aker BP granted North Sea drilling permit

Aker BP ASA has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Offshore Directorate for wildcat well 24/12-8 S in production license 869 south of Bergen in the North Sea.

Aker BP ASA has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Offshore Directorate for wildcat well 24/12-8 S in production license 869 south of Bergen in the North Sea.

The well will be drilled by the Deepsea Nordkapp semisubmersible drilling rig. Planned entry date is March 2024.

Aker BP is operator of PL 869 (80%) with partner Vår Energi ASA (20%).
