Aker BP granted approval for North Sea drilling

Aker BP ASA has been granted consent by the Norwegian Ocean Industry Authority to drill in the North Sea.

Aker BP ASA has been granted consent by the Norwegian Ocean Industry Authority to drill exploration wells in the North Sea.

Wells Trell Portiko 25/5-H-2 H and Trell Sirloin 25/5-H-2 AH, in production license (PL) 102 F/G, will be drilled in 120 m of water by the Deepsea Nordkapp semisubmersible drilling rig in Block 25/5-9 (Trell) in Tyrving field (OGJ Online, June 8, 2023).

Aker BP is operator of PL 102 F/G (60%) with partners PGNiG Upstream Norway AS (10%) and Petoro AS (30%).
