Equinor Energy AS has been granted consent for exploration drilling in production license 1104 in the North Sea by Petroleum Safety Authority Norway.
Equinor will drill well 30/3-11 S (Poseidon prospect) in water depth of 185 m utilizing the Deepwater Stavanger semi-submersible drilling rig.
Drilling is expected to take 76 days if the company encounters a dry hole. In the case of a discovery, an additional 18 days are expected.
Equinor if operator with 40% interest. Partners are Lundin Energy Norway AS 40% and Source Energy AS 20%.
