HEYCO reaches plateau rate from Viura‑1B in Northern Spain

HEYCO Energía Iberia S.L. (HEI) reached the planned plateau gas rate from the Viura‑1B well in Viura gas field in northern Spain, said partner Prospex Energy PLC in an Oct. 31 release.
HEI brought the well back into production on Oct. 17, 2025, and the flow rate for Oct. 22 was 196,490 std cu m or 6.9 MMscf. This rate was achieved at a 30% choke setting and will be the ongoing plateau production rate. The water cut continues to be low and is reducing.
Viura produces 85% of Spain’s natural gas.
HEI is operator of Viura gas field. Prospex owns 7.24% of the field through its ownership of 7.5% of HEI.
