CNOOC brings development project online

CNOOC Ltd. has started production at the Xijiang 30-2 oilfield Xijiang 30-1 block development project.

The project lies in average water depth of about 98 m in the eastern South China Sea. The main production infrastructure includes a new drilling production platform with 23 development wells planned.

Peak production of about 26,000 boe/d of medium crude oil is expected in 2027.

CNOOC is operator of the project with 100% interest.
