CNOOC Ltd. has started production from the Shenhai-1 Phase II natural gas development project in the Qiongdongnan basin, northern South China Sea.
Main production infrastructure for the project, which lies in average water depth of about 900 m, include a new fixed production platform and three centralized subsea wellheads. Twelve development wells are planned to be commissioned.
Peak production of 162 MMcfd of natural gas and 3,931 b/d of condensate is expected in 2025.
CNOOC is operator and 100% interest holder.
