PTT Exploration and Production Public Co. Ltd. (PTTEP) has increased production from the G1/61 project in the Gulf of Thailand to 800 MMcfd.
The company won the bid for the project, containing Erawan, Platong, Satun, and Funan fields, from the Department of Mineral Fuels in 2018 and signed the production sharing contract in 2019 (OGJ Online, July 31, 2023). To date, 12 wellhead platforms and subsea pipelines have been installed, along with a drilling campaign of more than 300 producing wells.
Project work this year includes installing eight new wellhead platforms and drilling more than 300 producing wells with an investment of thirty million Thai Baht (US$829,004.09).
PTTEP is operator of the G1/61 project (60%) with partner Mubadala Investment Co. (40%).
