Energean Power FPSO arrives offshore Israel

Energean PLC will immediately begin commissioning its Energean Power FPSO, now on location 90 km offshore Israel. The floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel was transported by two tugs from Sembcorp Marine's Admiralty Yard in Singapore to Israel. The 5,532 nautical mile-long journey took 35 days using the Suez Canal.

Commissioning will include risers and jumper installations as well as the commissioning of the sales gas pipeline. Energean Power will have a gas treatment capacity of 800 MMscfd and liquids storage capacity of 800,000 bbl. Gas will be exported to shore via the pipeline.

Energean expects 3-4 months of commissioning before first gas from Karish field and commercialization of the newly defined Olympus Area (OGJ Online, May 9, 2022). First gas production remains on track for third-quarter 2022.

Karish contains 1.4 bcf of 2P gas reserves 61 million bbl of 2P liquids reserves, for a total of 317 MMboe, according to Energean.
