Energean suspends production from FPSO offshore Israel
Energean plc has suspended production and activities of the Energean Power FPSO based on a June 13, 2025, order from Israel’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure.
The notice came as geopolitical tensions in the region increased as Israeli aircraft and drones launched early-morning strikes across Iran June 13, targeting military and nuclear sites (OGJ Online, June 13, 2025).
The FPSO lies 90 km offshore Israel. It produces gas from Karish field and the Olympus area.
