Tethys Petroleum Ltd. has continued the production testing of the second zone of KBD-02 (Klymene) in the Kul-Bas block, Kazakhstan (OGJ Online, June 9, 2020).
Over the last 20 days, the second zone has produced about 2,000 b/d of oil using different choke sizes. The most recent testing has used an 11-mm choke and produced 2,800 b/d of oil over the last 7 days. The pressure has remained strong through four different choke sizes used during the testing. The well has produced over 77,000 bbl of oil in total.
Klymene prospect estimated gross unrisked mean prospective recoverable oil is about 422 million bbl.
