Three Crown Petroleum LLC, Steamboat Springs, Colo., started production from its Irvine 1NH well in Johnson County, Wyo., on Oct. 14, 2025, advancing its Powder River Basin horizontal drilling program.

The well is part of the Crossbill prospect, a three Niobrara well horizontal project in a drilling spacing unit covering 1,268.76 gross and net acres.

The well was drilled to about 22,500 ft and completed in the Niobrara horizon. The well featured a 2-mile horizontal leg and was completed with 51 frac stages spaced about 200 ft apart, the company said.

The company now plans to spud the Kringen 1NH and Wild Bill 1NH Niobrara wells in Converse County, Wyo., in November 2025. Each well is designed as a 2.5-mile lateral east of Bill, Wyo.

Three Crown currently holds eleven additional Niobrara and Mowry drilling permits across Johnson, Campbell, and Converse Counties, and is seeking partners to participate in its Niobrara and Mowry drilling program for the remainder of 2025 and throughout 2026.
