Tenaz Energy Corp. has let a contract to Shelf Drilling Ltd. for the Winner jack-up rig to drill offshore Netherlands. Operations will start October-November 2025.

Shelf Drilling subsidiary Shelf Drilling (North Sea) Ltd. will start work on this job shortly after completion of the rig’s current contract in Denmark.

Contract duration is 1 year, with an option for Tenaz Energy to convert the term to 3 years within the first 6 months of operations.

Tenaz Energy became the second-largest operator of natural gas assets in the Dutch North Sea earlier this year through its acquisition of Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij BV (NAM). The sale included offshore gas fields, platforms, and pipelines, including the gas treatment plant in Den Helder, the Netherlands (OGJ Online, July 19, 2024).
