TotalEnergies adds well to Suriname drilling contract

TotalEnergies E&P Suriname exercised an option to add one well to the Maersk Valiant drillship work currently under way in Block 58, offshore Suriname.

TotalEnergies E&P Suriname exercised an option to add one well to the Maersk Valiant drillship work currently under way in Block 58, offshore Suriname.

The extension has an estimated duration of 100 days, with work expected to begin in March in direct continuation of the rig’s previously agreed work scope. The contract value of the extension is about $20.5 million, including integrated services provided. Two one-well options remain.

Maersk Valiant is a high-specification 7th generation drillship with integrated managed pressure drilling capability which was delivered in 2013.
