bp Mauritania Investments Ltd. has let a multi-year contract to Oceaneering International Inc. for GTA field offshore Mauritania and Senegal.

• The contract is for subsea inspection, maintenance, and repair services and ROV services for Greater Tortue Ahmeyim.

bp Mauritania Investments Ltd. has let a multiyear contract to Oceaneering International Inc. for Greater Tortue Ahmeyim (GTA) field offshore Mauritania and Senegal.

The contract is for subsea inspection, maintenance, and repair (IMR) services and remotely operated vehicle (ROV) services. Oceaneering will support this contract with one of its multi-purpose vessels outfitted with two Oceaneering work-class ROVs.

The scope of work will also include project management, engineering, and integration services provided by Oceaneering’s local and international personnel. Engineering and pre-mobilization activities have commenced, with field operations expected to start second-quarter 2025. The initial contract duration is 3 years, with two 1-year extension options.

Tortue Ahmeyim field development is on C-8 block offshore Mauritania and Saint-Louis Profond block offshore Senegal. The field holds estimated gas resources of 15 tcf (OGJ Online, Jan. 23, 2023).

bp operates GTA (56%). Partners are Kosmos Energy (27%), Petrosen (10%), and SMH (7%).
