Premier Oil PLC has let a contract to Global energy service provider Proserv for the supply of a subsea control system for the Bison-Iguana-Gajah Puteri field development in the Natuna Sea offshore Indonesia.

Proserv will supply a three-well subsea control system that includes the Artemis 2G subsea electronics module and associated equipment for the development, which lies in 90 m of water.

The Bison and Iguana fields will be tied back to the existing Pelikan platform, while Gajah Puteri will tie back to the existing Naga platform. The latter well is the longest step out at 21 km.

Proserv says each well will have a wet gas meter. The system also will be capable of later expansion to take account of any future infill drilling.

Delivery of equipment for Phase 1 is scheduled for May 2018.

Most recently Proserv completed a subsea control system for Premier at Dua field offshore Vietnam in 2013.
