Bahamas Petroleum Company PLC (BPC) spud Perseverance #1, offshore Bahamas, on Dec. 20, targeting P50 prospective oil resources of 0.77 billion bbl, with an upside of 1.44 billion bbl. The well is expected to take 45-60 days to complete.
The well will be drilled to a depth of 4,800-5,600 m by the Stena IceMax harsh environment DP Class 3 drillship (OGJ Online, Sept. 25, 2020).
BPC 100% owns and operates Perseverance #1.
