Aker BP awarded another one-well contract to Maersk Drilling for use of the Maersk Integrator ultra-harsh environment jack up rig to drill Ula F Producer 1 in Ula field offshore Norway. The contract has an estimated duration of 85 days and is expected to commence in April 2021.
The $21.6-million contract, excluding integrated services and a potential performance bonus, is
a direct continuation of its two-well extension for use of the rig in Ivar Aasen field (OGJ Online, Jan. 21, 2020).
The original contract forms part of the 2017 Aker BP jackup alliance agreement with Maersk Drilling and Halliburton.
Designed for operations in the North Sea, the rig is undergoing upgrades to turn it into a hybrid, low emission rig before moving to Ivar Aasen later in August.
