ExxonMobil Petroleum & Chemical BVBA has let an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract to a subsidiary of Foster Wheeler AG’s global engineering and construction group for the upgrade of a resid unit at the company's 320,000-b/d refinery in Antwerp, Belgium.

Foster Wheeler has already completed a front-end engineering and design contract for this project.

Earlier this year ExxonMobil reported plans to invest $1 billion to install a delayed coking unit at the same facility (OGJ Online, July 2, 2014).

Foster Wheeler’s scope of work is expected to be completed in December 2016.
