Saudi Aramco awarded Kalpataru Projects International Ltd. (KPIL) three contracts covering pipelay of more than 800 km of natural gas laterals as part of Aramco’s Master Gas System Phase 3 (MGS-3) project. MGS-3 aims to expand Aramco’s gas network to supply industrial consumers and replace liquid fuel use.
The contracts totaled 3.4 billion Saudi Riyal ($910 million).
Earlier this month Baker Hughes Co. won an order to supply 17 gas-turbine powered centrifugal compressors for MGS-3 (OGJ Online, May 2, 2024).
