Cogent Midstream LLC, Dallas, will construct a 25-mile, 20-in. pipeline to deliver 400 MMcfd of residue gas from its Big Lake natural gas processing complex in Reagan County, Tex. to Kinder Morgan’s Gulf Coast Express Pipeline (GCX) (OGJ Online, Jan. 3, 2018). The pipeline is expected also to cross the proposed Permian Highway Pipeline and Whistler Pipeline projects (OGJ Online, Aug. 3, 2018; Sept. 6, 2018).

The pipeline’s in-service date in this year’s fourth quarter coincides with Cogent’s timeline for commissioning its Big Lake II natural gas cryogenic processing plant (OGJ Online, Dec. 12, 2018). Currently under construction, the plant has the nameplate capacity to process 200 MMcfd, bringing Cogent’s total processing capacity to 510 MMcfd.
