    Sept. 16, 2019 | BP PLC and coventurers Royal Dutch Shell PLC, Chevron North Sea Ltd., and ConocoPhillips in November 2018 began production at the giant Clair Ridge project, West of Shetland, 75 km offshore UK. Clair Ridge is the second phase development of Clair field. Discovered in 1977, Clair holds an estimated 7 billion boe. Clair Ridge was designed to recover an estimated 640 million bbl of oil at a peak rate of 120,000 b/d. BP in August awarded Sparrows Group a contract for deck operations services.
