Elf installs Tchibouela East module

Elf Congo has installed the production module for its Tchibouela East development off Congo Republic. The module was shipped from Bordeaux, France, to the installation site off Point Noire, Congo Republic, by Mammoet Shipping BV, Am- sterdam. The 564 metric ton production module measures 19.4 m by 28.67 m by 15.4 m. The module was lifted from the Happy Rover vessel by the crane barge Polaris and placed onto its jacket in the field. A 23-ton flare, measuring 34 m by 5 m by 7.7 m was also transported to Tchibouela East on the Happy Rover. Tchibouela East field has reserves of 40 million bbl.
