Groningen, the Netherlands, has appointed Tans van Kleef president, replacing Catrinus Jepma, who is stepping down but will remain active as scientific director of the EDIaal program. Recently, SNN (Northern Netherlands Provinces) granted EDI a subsidy for the EDIaal program, which is aimed at developing training programs about the role of natural gas in a sustainable future. Denisa Kasova will stay on as managing director of EDI BV. During the past 10 years, van Kleef served as manager of the UNECE Gas Centre based in Geneva.

The school's main objective is to contribute to the professional development of current and future energy managers.
