Apache Corp., a subsidiary of APA Corp., has named Greg McDaniel as vice-president and country manager of the operator’s Egypt assets.
McDaniel, who has covered the interim role since May, joined Apache in 2001 and has served in operational and management roles with increasing responsibilities in the Permian basin, Canada, as well as Egypt, the company said in a release Oct. 1.
“Egypt’s energy sector has a promising future under the direction of Minister Karim Badawi, and we look forward to continuing to build our strong partnership with the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources – Egypt,” McDaniel said.
Apache is one of the largest acreage holders in Egypt’s Western Desert. At year-end 2023, the company held 5.3 million gross acres in six separate concessions.
