Spencer to succeed Dale as DNO managing director

Norwegian oil and gas operator DNO ASA has appointed Christopher Spencer as managing director, effective Sept. 8, succeeding Bjørn Dale.

Norwegian oil and gas operator DNO ASA has appointed Christopher Spencer as managing director, effective Sept. 8, succeeding Bjørn Dale as part of a planned management transition that began last year, the company said in a release Sept. 7.

Spencer joined the company in 2017 and has served as DNO’s chief operating officer since 2021 (OGJ Online, July 12, 2021). Before joining DNO, he served as chief executive of Rocksource ASA and in various commercial and technical roles at Shell and bp.

Dale joined DNO in 2011 as a corporate lawyer prior to his appointments as general counsel and managing director. He will continue to advise the company on legal and commercial matters for 6 months.
