Valero Energy Corp., San Antonio, Tex., has promoted Gary K. Simmons to executive vice-president and chief operating officer, effective July 20, 2023.
Gary has led Valero’s commercial organization since 2014 and has served as executive vice-president and chief commercial officer since January 2020 (OGJ Online, Jan. 24, 2020). In his new role, Simmons will also have oversight responsibility for all refining operations.
