Equinor appoints Tungesvik to corporate executive committee

Equinor Energy has appointed Geir Tungesvik executive vice-president for the projects, drilling, and procurement business, effective May 1. He will succeed Arne Sigve Nylund, who has decided to retire after 40 years with the company.

Equinor Energy has appointed Geir Tungesvik executive vice-president for the projects, drilling, and procurement business, effective May 1. He will succeed Arne Sigve Nylund, who has decided to retire after 40 years with the company.  

Nylund joined Equinor in 1983. Prior to his current position that he held since January 2021, he was executive vice-president, development and production Norway.

Tungesvik serves as senior vice-president for project development in the projects, drilling, and procurement business area.
