Pranin to succeed Giesler as SandRidge CEO

SandRidge Energy Inc., Oklahoma City, has appointed Grayson Pranin to serve as president, chief executive officer, and chief operating officer following the resignation of Carl Giesler, Jr. as chief executive officer, president, and a member of the board.

SandRidge Energy Inc., Oklahoma City, has appointed Grayson Pranin—the company's current senior vice-president and chief operating officer—to serve as president, chief executive officer, and chief operating officer following the resignation of Carl Giesler, Jr. as chief executive officer, president, and a member of the board.

Giesler’s resignation to pursue another opportunity is effective July 16, the company said July 13.

Pranin has served at SandRidge for the past 10 years in various engineering, operational, and leadership roles.
