Saudi Arabia has returned its 7-million b/d East-West crude oil pipeline to full pumping capacity. The pipeline runs 746 miles across Saudi Arabia, from Abqaiq oil field near the Persian Gulf to Yanbu on the Red Sea. Volumes had been reduced by 700,000 b/d following attacks earlier in the Iran war.

The country’s Ministry of Energy also reported restoring 300,000 b/d of production lost at shallow-water Manifa field, offshore al-Jubail in the Gulf. Khurais field, however, continues to operate at rates reduced by 300,000-b/d. Khurais is onshore, about 90 miles southeast of Riyadh.

The East-West pipeline is currently the only export route for Saudi crude.

Last week, Saudi Aramco Total Refinery & Petrochemicals Co.—a joint venture of Saudi Aramco (62.5%) and TotalEnergies SE (37.5%)—shuttered units at its 460,000 b/d refinery complex at Jubail, on Saudi Arabia’s eastern coast, following attacks on the site.
