YPF lets contract to Halliburton for completions services in Argentina's Vaca Muerta
YPF SA has let a contract to Halliburton to deliver bundled unconventional completions services in Argentina’s Vaca Muerta shale play.
In a post to LinkedIn, Halliburton’s executive vice-president and chief operating officer, J. Shannon Slocum, said the companies signed a “5-year exclusive” multimillion-dollar contract to deliver services, including hydraulic fracturing and perforating.
Under the contract, Halliburton will utilize its electric fracturing services in its first international deployment. The agreement also includes an auto frac service, part of its digital fracturing services operating environment, aimed at delivering consistent onsite execution while pumping, Halliburton said in a release Apr. 13.
