Marathon Petroleum partners with Baker Hughes for downstream chemical solutions

Marathon Petroleum Corp. signed an agreement with Baker Hughes to provide downstream chemicals to the company’s refineries across North America.

Baker Hughes, in a release Feb. 5, said it will provide heavy oil demulsifiers, corrosion inhibitors, renewable additives, and digital monitoring tools across 12 oil refineries and two renewable fuel plants in the US “to support reliable operations and environmental compliance while reducing nonproductive time.”
