Woodside extends EPCM contract for NWS project

Under the extension, Wood will deliver asset modifications designed to boost production, reliability, and longevity across Woodside’s NWS offshore infrastructure.

Woodside Energy Ltd. has let a 2-year contract extension to Wood to continue delivering brownfield engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) services across offshore assets at the North West Shelf (NWS) project in Western Australia.

Under the extension, Wood will deliver asset modifications designed to boost production, reliability, and longevity across Woodside’s NWS offshore infrastructure, including the North Rankin complex, the Goodwyn A platform, and the Okha FPSO.

The North West Shelf project includes a network of offshore oil and gas infrastructure and an onshore processing plant in Karratha, Western Australia. In 2024, Woodside received approval for the North West Shelf (NWS) extension project from the Western Australian Government.

Woodside is operator of the project with joint venture partners BP Developments Australia Pty Ltd., Chevron Australia Pty Ltd., CNOOC, Japan Australia LNG (MIMI) Pty Ltd., and Shell Australia Pty Ltd.
