Production shut in after fatal incident onboard Ivory Coast FPSO

Production at BW Offshore-operated Espior Ivoirien FPSO operating for CNR International on Espoir field offshore the Ivory Coast has been shut down following a fatal incident during work performed in a cargo tank onboard the vessel Jan. 14.

Production at BW Offshore-operated Espior Ivoirien floating production storage and offtake vessel (FPSO) operating for CNR International on Espoir field offshore the Ivory Coast has been shut down following a fatal incident during work performed in a cargo tank onboard the vessel Jan. 14.

Two fatalities have been confirmed because of the incident, which was caused by a leakage of hydrocarbons into the tank. The leak has been contained within the cargo tank, with all personnel accounted for, BW Offshore reported.
