Chevron Canada applies with AER for 32 wells in Fox Creek area

Chevron Canada Resources has filed an application with Alberta Energy Regulator to drill 32 wells in the Duvernay formation in the Fox Creek area.

Chevron Canada Resources has filed an application with Alberta Energy Regulator to drill 32 wells in the Duvernay formation in the Fox Creek area (OGJ Online, Feb. 23, 2015).

The development would include construction of eight multi-well pads, production facilities, pipelines, roads, two water reservoirs, and diversion of water from three sources.

The single application for multiple activities was submitted under an AER pilot project. Activities are covered by the Pipeline Act, Public Lands Act, Oil and Gas Conservation Act, and Water Act.
