US President Donald Trump nominated Federal Energy Regulatory Commission General Counsel James Danly on Sept. 30 to fill the remainder of a 5-year term expiring June 30, 2023.

US President Donald Trump nominated Federal Energy Regulatory Commission General Counsel James Danly on Sept. 30 to fill the remainder of a 5-year term expiring June 30, 2023.

Before joining FERC, Danly was a member of the energy regulation and litigation group at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. He previously served as law clerk to Judge Danny Boggs at the US Appeals Court for the Sixth Circuit, a managing director of the Institute for the Study of War, and an International Affairs Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations.
