Donnie Moore named Gulfport interim chief executive officer

Donnie Moore has been appointed to serve as interim chief executive officer of Gulfport Energy Corp., Oklahoma City. He succeeds Michael G. Moore who, effective Oct. 29, stepped down from his position as chief executive officer and president and resigned from the company’s board.

Donnie Moore has been appointed to serve as interim chief executive officer of Gulfport Energy Corp., Oklahoma City.

He succeeds Michael G. Moore who, effective Oct. 29, stepped down from his position as chief executive officer and president and resigned from the company’s board.

Donnie Moore joined Gulfport as chief operating officer in January 2018 from serving as vice-president of Texas operations for the Eagle Ford and Delaware basin assets at Noble Energy Inc., where he had worked since 2007 (OGJ Online, Jan. 3, 2018).

Gulfport’s board has engaged a nationally recognized executive recruiting firm to undertake a nationwide search for a chief executive to lead the company for the long term.
