HOUSTON, May 12
– Crimson Exploration Inc., Houston, is attempting to complete its Catherine Henderson-A7 development well in Felicia field, Liberty County, Tex., where logs indicate Eocene Lower Cook Mountain to have 56 ft of net gas-condensate pay.

The A7 well, which Crimson operates with 66% working interest, is near the A6 well, on line since June 2008 and producing 5.8 MMcfd of gas and 300 b/d of condensate.

The Schwarz-2 exploratory well, in which Crimson holds 60% interest, was spud May 10 and is projected to 15,400 ft. It is a redrill of the Schwarz-1ST, which had excellent shows in Lower Cook Mountain sands but was abandoned due to mechanical failure in the first quarter of 2010.
