HOUSTON, May 12
– Crimson Exploration Inc., Houston, plans to drill a 4,500-ft lateral to 18,600 ft measured depth at its Grizzly-1 well in San Augustine County, Tex.

Crimson, operator with 55% interest, drilled the pilot hole to 14,073 ft and ran open hole logs across the Middle Bossier and Haynesville shale objectives. Final TD is expected to be reached in June.

After completion, Crimson will move the rig 2 miles west to its Gobi location.
