HOUSTON, July 30
– The US Bureau of Land Management record of decision on the environmental impact statement authorizes full-field development at West Tavaputs in Utah’s Uinta basin, said Bill Barrett Corp., Denver.

After the required 30-day appeal period, the company plans to initiate a year-round, multiyear development drilling program. The timing for issuance of drilling permits depends on the nature and disposition of appeals.

The development area contains an estimated 324 bcf of proved reserves and 1.3 tcf equivalent of proved, probable, and possible recoverable gas on more than 40,000 acres.
