HOUSTON, Nov. 16 – Abraxas Petroleum Corp., San Antonio, is drilling a horizontal offset to an indicated Permian basin Strawn oil discovery in Nolan County, Tex.
The company is completing the apparent discovery well, Spires 149-1, drilled to a true vertical depth of 7,300 ft.
The offset is Spires 126-1H, now drilling in the lateral. Abraxas owns 100% working interest in both wells.
