Watt named Warren Resources president, CEO

James. A. Watt has joined Warren Resources Inc., Denver, as president and chief executive officer. He previously was president, chief executive officer, and director of Dune Energy Inc., Houston, which is in voluntary bankruptcy.

Watt succeeds Lance Peterson, a Warren director who has served as interim chief executive officer since last December.

Watt was chief executive officer of Remington Oil & Gas Corp. until that company’s acquisition by Helix Energy Solutions Group Inc. in 2006.
