Marathon Oil Co. has revamped its U.S. production organization as a result of the merging of Texas Oil & Gas Corp.'s production operations.

Marathon realigned its organization and set up two new production regions with offices in Tyler, Tex., and Oklahoma City.

The East Texas region, based in Tyler, will be responsible for production operations in East and Central Texas, including leases currently operated by TXO and those operated by Marathon.

The central region, based in Oklahoma City, will be responsible for combined company operations in Oklahoma, northern Arkansas, and Kansas.

The Gulf Coast region, based in Lafayette, La., will be responsible for production operations in Southeast Texas, southern Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and all offshore activities in the Lower 48. TXO operations currently handled by the Shreveport district office will be combined into the Gulf Coast region.

The Midcontinent region, based in Midland, Tex., will be responsible for all production operations in West Texas and New Mexico. Operations currently handled by TXO's West Texas district office in Midland will be combined into the Midcontinent region.

Marathon's Rocky Mountain region, based in Cody, Wyo., will be responsible for the rest of TXO production operations currently handled by TXO's Denver district office.

The Alaska region and the northeastern region responsibilities remain unchanged.
