Petróleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) has acquired Sudoeste de Sagitário, Água Marinha, and Norte de Brava blocks in the Campos basin presalt during the first cycle of the permanent production sharing offer held by Brazil's National Petroleum, Natural Gas, and Biofuels Agency (ANP).

Agua Marinha is a 1,300 sq km block about 140 km offshore in 2,000 m of water. Petrobras exercised its pre-emptive right in the block, joining the winning consortium's proposal as operator (30%) with partners TotalEnergies SE (30%), QatarEnergy (20%), and Petronas Petróleo Brasil Ltda. (20%).

Sudoeste de Sagitário covers 1,035 sq km in the southern region of the presalt. Petrobras is operator (60%) with Shell Brasil Petroleo Ltda. holding the remaining 40%.

Norte de Brava is in the northern part of the presalt. Petrobras is operator with 100% interest.

The offer of the percentage of the oil surplus to be made available to the Brazilian government was the only criterion adopted by the ANP to define the winning proposal, with the fixed value of the signature bonus already included in the tender protocol. The total amount of the signing bonus to be paid by Petrobras is R$729 million.
