Samoil has agreed to acquire all shares in Angola Block 14 BV (AB14BV), owned by TotalEnergies and INPEX Angola Block 14 Ltd., via its whollyowned subsidiary, Somoil Block 14 BV.
AB14BV holds a 20% interest in Block 14 and a 10% interest in Block 14K. The offshore blocks lie offshore Angola in the Congo basin with water depths from 350 -1100 m and have been producing since 1999. Net production from Angola Block 14 BV was 9,000 boe/d in 2021.
The contractor group includes Chevron’s subsidiary in Angola, Cabinda Gulf Oil Co. Ltd. (CABGOC) as operator with 31%; Sonangol P&P 20%; AB14BV 20%; ENI 20%, and GALP 9%.
The transaction is subject to the approval of the Angolan authorities.
