Lime Rock acquires Williston basin assets from restructured Abraxas

Lime Rock Resources has acquired Williston basin assets from Abraxas Petroleum Corp., San Antonio, for $87.2 million cash.

Lime Rock Resources has acquired Williston basin assets from Abraxas Petroleum Corp., San Antonio, for $87.2 million cash.

The acquisition consists of about 3,500 acres in McKenzie County, ND. Lime Rock now manages some 19,400 boe/d of net production in the state inclusive of the new assets.

The sale—part of Abraxas’s strategic alternatives review—closed Jan. 3, and leaves Abraxas with unspecified Delaware basin assets.
