Enauta Energia SA will receive an additional 50% working interest in Atlanta field block BS-4 in Brazil’s Santos basin from Barra Energia do Brasil Petróleo e Gás Ltda. The deal was approved by the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).

The company looks to increase operational efficiency and reduce costs of both the early production system and the full development system. A bid for the FPSO of the full development system was launched in March and the company is now seeking new partners to develop the field, according to an Apr. 8 release.

The agreement also transfers $43.9 million to Enauta Energia for abandonment of three wells and decommissioning of existing facilities in the field.

Enauta, a wholly owned subsidiary of Enauta Participações SA, will hold 100% working interest in Atlanta after conclusion of the transfer, which is conditional upon settling warranties and signing the addendum to the concession agreement.
