Equinor lets contract for Heidrun extension
Equinor Energy AS has let a contract to TechnipFMC for work on the Heidrun extension project in the Norwegian North Sea.
Heidrun lies on Haltenbanken, 30 km northeast of Åsgard field in 350 m water depth.
The integrated engineering, procurement, construction, and installation contract is valued by TechnipPMC somewhere between $75 and $250 million, the company said in a release July 15.
The award follows an integrated front end engineering and design study by TechnipFMC.
The project is expected to enhance the current infrastructure and extend the production lifecycle for the Heidrun tension-leg platform.
