Chevron affiliate lets support contract for Tengiz work

Chevron Corp. affiliate Tengizchevroil LLP (TCO) has let an engineering and project support contract to WoodKSS LLP, Wood’s incorporated joint venture in Kazakhstan, for Tengiz field in the western part of the country.
The contract follows a master services agreement established in 2019. It includes an expanded scope of specialist project management services to support base operations and ongoing field development.
The contract will be delivered by WoodKSS teams based in Atyrau, Almaty, and Tengiz.
Tengiz ranks as the world’s deepest producing supergiant oil field and the largest single-trap producing reservoir in existence. The Future Growth Project expansion aims to increase crude oil production by 260,000 b/d at full capacity.
TCO is a Kazakhstani partnership owned by Chevron Corp. (50%), KazMunayGas (20%), ExxonMobil Corp. (25%), and Lukoil (5%).
